Celebration Weekend !!

Saturday was our 11 year wedding anniversary!! We knew we were going to probably do something on Friday because we had plans with the Gortons on Saturday. But I wasn't sure how or what we would do to celebrate on Friday because Bryan stayed up until 3:00 a.m. Friday morning working on his paper for school. It is due this Tuesday but he wanted to get it done before the weekend. I finally got up and persuaded him to come to bed. I didn't want him to fall asleep while eating dinner Friday night!! I admire his determination to stay on track and not procrastinate.

We were trying to decide on Furr's Cafeteria (don't laugh. We've been wanting to try the new location in Moore) and Pei Wei. We decided to go with........

We kind of thought that might be a little neater for an anniversary. Pei Wei is the sister to PF Changs. I wonder who the brother is? hee hee

Bryan and I before we dug into our food. I think I embarrassed Bryan by asking him to take the picture. And, I look like I'm a little scare. I was trying so hard to keep my eyes open because I knew if they were closed, Bryan wouldn't take another picture!! He's beginning to give me a hard time about taking pictures and posting them on the blog. I've told him if you think I'm bad, you should see some of the other girls!! ha ha
The place was packed so we sat at the bar. Other than when I was chewing my food, I think I sat with my mouth wide open. It was remarkable how fast they could cook a dish.

We started with lettuce wraps and crab won tons. MMMM MMM.

And we ended our meal with the Honey Seared Chicken. A lot of food, but we were hungry. It had been probably a year since we had ate at Pei Wei or PF Changs!! We missed it. The food was fabulous.

After our dinner, we braved the cold weather and headed to Wal-Mart to pick up a birthday gift for Ava. She requested Disney Princess gifts. I had fun shopping for her. While I picked out her gift, Bryan discovered the new GI Joes!!

I couldn't get Ava just one Disney Princess item...... So I got 3!!

I found a Little Mermaid puzzle, some sparkly bangle bracelets, and a book with some princess stories. The gift bag had a recorded message from Cinderella. I was fascinated!!

While Bryan was in electronics I took a gander at the clothes and found this $10 little hoody at Wal-Mart. I loved the print.

Don't look for me on America's Next Top Model. I looked goofy while Bryan was taking my picture as I modeled my new shirt.

Have a blessed day!!

Love the hoodie!
Sounds like a great date! I love pei wei or pf changs. I love the lettuce wraps! Yum!
Scott used to gripe about me taking so many pictures but now I kind of think he likes it! (or he's at least used to it!) And thanks to the blog - I would probably never take pictures if I didn't have it - so we have a better record of our lives! :-)

Cute hoodie! Don't you love finding good deals at Walmart. FYI Lillian Vernon has a dress-up chest of ALL the disney princess outfits (I got it for my niece at Christmas and she loves it!) Yall got exactly what I get when I go to Pei Wei!! I think the brother is Panda Express. They are all owned by the same people. Sounds like yall had fun, Congratulations on the anniversary!!! :)

Happy Anniversary Julie!
My son ate at Furr's in Moore and said it was really good. It's all one price (buffet) not like it used to be or maybe some locations still are???
I haven't eaten at Pei Wei but LOVE PF Changs. Those lettuce wraps are so good. It's making me hungry.
I love the hoodie and I love the price.
Men are so funny about pictures, huh? My whole family thinks I go overboard with pictures, but I tell them someday they'll appreciate it. :)
By the way, my daughter was going to try NWB church again since they have a new pastor and she got terribly confused with the time change and slept until 10:30! She was mad. She called me at 10:30 and asked me what time it really was. She's so blonde!
I'll talk to you again soon.

Happy late Anniversary! Sounds like you guys had a great dinner. I love Pei Wei! Haven't been to one in forever though. Like the hoodie too. I am looking forward to hanging out with you in a couple of weeks! It will be nice to be out of town for a day! And, I like how you have tons of pictures. I use a MAC at work, so i can't figure out how to download my pictures to post them on my blog...that is why I am always just taking pictures off the web for my blog. Someday soon I will have a newer camera and will be able to post pictures too! Have a grand week!
