Quick Trip to Ada

We have had a fast and furious weekend and it doesn't look like our week will get any less busy. Do you ever have those days and weeks? You love what you do but you begin to run out of energy.

Bryan and I left for Ada Friday after he got home from work. We had a late start. We didn't leave Moore until 7:45 and stopped at the Salt Grass. I was hungry for fried mushrooms and salad with ranch. I took this picture in honor of my Texas blogger friends. I have to be honest and say I'm not Texas to the Bone. I'm more Boomer Sooner to the bone!! Here's to Melissa and Caroline and all other Texans...

We ended up not eating at Salt Grass. The wait was 40 minutes and normally we would have waited that long, but it would have put us getting to Ada very very late. So we decided to go to.....

I thought of Kelly and Hillary. I remember reading on their blogs that they eat there. We played the table game to kill time while we waited on our food. Bryan was more successful. Bryan's Results:
Julie's Results: According to the game we were both "eg-no-ra-moose." I was just more "eg-no-ra-moose." But I was not down. My food came. And yes, I am aware I had a lot of food. I had to have double portions of the hash brown casserole...

Bryan's mom and I went shopping in Ada and ran some errands for Granny's party next week. She bought me two new shirts and some cute flip flops. I'll have to take a picture and post them later. I had a down week for various reasons and it was great to be out and about. A new shirt that someone else pays for is always a great thing to make a girl feel better.

It was pretty weather and Bryan took me down to his dad's pond to do some shooting. He had bought a new assault rifle and pistol a few months back that I had not shot. I still do not hit the target quite as good as he does. Here are some pictures. I loved this photo of his mom. The gun is not loaded and she may kill me for posting it (sorry Donna) but I don't think I've ever seen her hold a gun and I thought her expression was hilarious. She was just holding it for Bryan as he got the pistol out of the case. We may start calling her "Mrs. John Rambo."

I didn't quite hit the center.

I spent this morning watching Ava and Stella. Jorge and Brooklyn left their house at 4:15 this morning to head to the hospital. She was supposed to be induced last week but was bumped since she was on the reserve list. When they got to the hospital this morning, there was a clerical error and they didn't even have Brooklyn listed for today. So, they drove home. Then at 7:00 the hospital called and told them to come back!!!!! Maybe I'll have some pictures of the new baby to post soon.

Have a great Monday.

Looks like a nice weekend! Bummer for Brooklyn. I hope she has had her baby by now. That has got to be stressful for her and the family!

Is the Salt Grass a good place to eat? We've seen it in Dallas and in Austin when we've been there but have never stopped in yet.

We ate at Cracker Barrel today! We love to eat there. In fact, I had the hashbrown casserole!

Looks like you had a fun time! I grew up hunting squirrels with my Daddy. I had my own 22! Today I probably would not shoot a little squirrel (unless we were starving!)
