Would you believe I woke up, wide awake, at 3:15 a.m. this Friday morning!!!!!!!!!! I have a lot on my mind. So I thought I would start with updating my blog and trying to catch up with all of you. I thought about reading but I have so many random things going through my head that I couldn't concentrate. We have a Sunday School Couples' Fellowship at church this evening and I think thinking about the food I'm taking woke me up. I'm making a roast, carrots, and potatoes. I'm also making some beef enchiladas. I know those are totally not related but I needed to make 2 main dishes and those were the 2 easiest ones. I made up the enchiladas last night and they just need to go in the oven for about 20-30 minutes this afternoon. Luckily we have an oven at the office and full kitchen so I can also plug in my crock pot. This is convenient because my office and church are on the same side of town.
Eric, Whitney, and Katie came over last night. He was wanting to put some music on his ipod before he made the long road trip to Georgia. It was also left over night at our house and we all warmed up either Swiss Steak, mashed potatoes/gravy, or cattlemen's casserole. Our meal was also random...just like my thoughts are now. They found out they are having a boy!!!!!!!!!! I'm excited for them. I left work a tiny bit early to run by Academy. I wanted to find them a camo onesie but they didn't have anything. I settled for a few things from Wal-mart (I thought their selection was pour). But I didn't have much time to go look anywhere else. I didn't think to take a picture before I put them in the gift bag. One says "Daddy's Little Helper" and the other says "I love My Mommy". I wanted Katie to also feel special and not left out. Plus I knew with Eric leaving for 3-4 months everyone was sad. I picked her and I up matching OU t-shirts at Academy. I also stopped by the store and bought cookies, icing, and sprinkles for us to decorate cookies with. I used some of the cookies for our church dinner tonight and then she made Eric a "Care Plate" for him to take to Georgia. Here are a few pictures:
Katie and I with our matching shirts. Bryan and I really enjoy being around her and watching her grow. She has quite an imagination!!
If you look closely in this next picture you can see a little dab of icing on the corner of Katie's mouth! After they left and I cleaned up, there were icing and sprinkles on the table as well!! But we had fun and made a wonderful memory!
I promise I didn't lick the spatula!! I was just posing funny for Katie to take the picture! Not a very becoming picture of myself (remember it was later in the night and I had been to Wal-Mart!!)
And Bryan even chipped in on the decorating!! He wasn't to thrilled to have yet another picture of him taken!
Katie packed up a few cookies on the paper plate and decorated the "lid" for Eric.
Have a great Friday and wonderful weekend!!
