The towel has been returned!!! I went to the Y for the 3rd day in a row!! I died 99 times!! My legs and arms are killing me. I am crazy out of shape!! Do you go to the gym? What do you wear and how do you look when you go? I go at 4:30/4:45 pm which is the end of my work day. But I am always seeing women with nice hair and makeup on. If they are wearing a ponytail, a large percentage of them have a perfect pony tail...no stray hairs. How can they look so pretty and cute all while running on a treadmill. They really make me self conscious!! Extra "skin" has mysteriously appeared around my stomach area!!! So I am also trying to really work that area. I do crunches at the Y. Does anyone have any other ideas or exercises I could do. My upper abs ache a ton today!!! But it is my lower abs that I really need the work on. Any thoughts? Bryan introduced me to butterfly kicks last night but my legs were so sore I could barely lift them. I'll take any suggestions.

I'm off to the women's retreat today. I'm grateful for the opportunity and also grateful for a reason not to go to the Y!!!!

Have a blessed day and weekend!!

I've been working out a lot lately and I feel like the most frumpy girl at the gym. Everyone else has these "cute little outfits" and I'm wearing old gym pants I've had for 1000 years and big old t-shirts. I'm too self conscious to wear shorts and I don't want to spend money on workout clothes - I'd rather have things I can actually wear places.

I'm sure the Y was missing that towel. I'm actually one of "those" girls with perfect ponytails and lipstick while at the gym....NOT. I'm lucky if my hair was brushed before put in the ponytail:) Have a great weekend!

Girl...I'm proud of you! You are doing so good. Your body probably really needs this break. Have fun at your retreat!

A good exercise for your lower tummy is to lay down on the floor, put your arms to your side & your legs out straight. Lift your legs up & down (and don't bend them), but DON'T let them touch the floor when you bring them back down...it's kinda like a crunch, but with your legs out straight & it works your lower tummy more. Make sure you don't put to much pressure on your neck!
This is an exercise I used to like when I worked out. I'm so outta shape now too. Gotta do something about this! Is it horrible that I sit at home watching "The Biggest Loser" while eating cheesecake bites & ice cream? Haha...
