And the wind comes sweeping down the plain....

This.........(listen to the video)

Led to this......

You can hear my sweet Lilly Belle barking in the video!!!

We had severe high winds in the OKC metro area Thursday. I heard reports of up to 58- 70 mph winds!!! It was crazy and it ended up storming late Thursday night. I rushed home to mow the backyard anticipating rain. I got it done but it was crazy trying to mow in these winds and bag the grass as I mowed. I had put in a load of clothes in the dryer and started another in the washing machine when the power went out. Bryan had called before leaving the gym and brought home Braums. We ended up eating out on our deck and playing with the dogs because we had no electricity. Good ways to pass the time when you don't have power. We came in and lit some candles and turned on the battery lantern.

We have had crazy storms up here, too. We've had thunderstorms, wind storms, and tornadoes. I'm definitely ready for an end to the severe weather! I'm glad you took advantage of eating on your deck. I don't function every well without electricity.

We have also had some crazy weather recently in NC. I am glad that the Lord kept you and your family safe during the storm!

Wow--that really WAS strong winds!! That sounds like something that would happen to me...putting the clothes in the dryer and then the power goes out. Uugghh!

Glad that's over!!

Wow that was neat listening to that wind. I love bradford pears they are such pretty trees but not very sturdy. We lost two in a terrible storm we had here several years ago. Hope the power came on fairly quickly.
Blessings,
Linda

It was SO windy Thurs.!
Our electricity was off for several hours. I was very happy it had come back on by the time I got home from work.
We woke up this morning to find a big tree limb from a tree in our front yard, in the middle of the street.
I heard on the news last night that 19,000 people were without electricity.
I hope yours wasn't off too long?
Have a great weekend.

Ooooh, I love storms (not the tornado-type) when I'm home. I don't love the electricity going out but hopefully that didn't last too long.

We have also had awful winds in North Texas. It looks like fall with all the leaves and branches in our yard. Sorry about the electric failure! Have a good week!

I hear you on the wind! (your poor little tree :( )I'm so sorry you lost your electricity!
We live on the top story of our apartment complex so we always here the craziest noises when it's storming!
Glad nothing serious came of it!
